About The Position

The Provider Contract & Network Underwriting Senior Advisor role within the LifeSOURCE analytics team focuses on conducting complex data analytics to support affordability initiatives in Cigna's Transplant Network. This position is responsible for benchmarking contracts, performing ad hoc analyses, and developing partnerships with business units to enhance understanding of cost positions and drive innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' of financial analysis with demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis at macro and micro levels.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel including power pivot development and extraction.
  • Strong technical data skills (SQL, SAS, TOAD, Tableau, etc.) and knowledge of systems, processes and methodologies.
  • Experience in healthcare analytics, provider reimbursement, fee schedules & contract modeling is preferred.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and work independently by fully leveraging matrix relationships.
  • Solid documentation and communication skills; demonstrated ability to deliver message to non-technical business partners in layman's terms.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to think critically and develop creative solutions/analytics to address complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex data analytics on new or existing LifeSOURCE affordability initiatives to determine savings.
  • Lead the analytics to provide benchmarking for LifeSOURCE contracts against peers.
  • Lead the analytics to provide benchmarking for LifeSOURCE contracts against medical contracts.
  • Lead the analytics to provide benchmarking for LifeSOURCE contracts against competitors.
  • Lead the ad hoc analysis for contracting necessitated by technological change and related implications on administration (inpatient vs. outpatient).
  • Work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal direction; learn quickly; successfully pivot when priorities change.
  • Develop effective relationships/partnerships with business partners to drive better understanding of opportunities and importance of overall cost position.
