About the position

The Provider Credentialing Assistant at Xpress Wellness Urgent Care plays a vital role in ensuring that healthcare providers are properly credentialed and certified to deliver medical services. This position involves managing the credentialing process, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the completion and submission of provider enrollment applications and credentialing/recredentialing packages.
• Maintain a detailed log of all pending and completed work in credentialing software.
• Assist with intake documents and input data into credentialing software and credentialing database.
• Assist with monitoring database for pending expirations of licenses, certifications, malpractice insurance, etc.
• Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to provider credentialing.
• Communicate credentialing status and updates to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of the credentialing process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in healthcare provider credentialing preferred.
• Prior experience with CAQH and PECOS preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and organized records.
• Proficient in using credentialing software and databases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare provider networks.
• Understanding of credentialing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
