About the position

The Provider Network Manager is responsible for coordinating contracts between the Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) and assigned network providers. This role involves serving as the primary liaison, managing interdepartmental collaboration, ensuring compliance, and facilitating provider training and support. The position requires strong management and communication skills to address contractual issues and enhance provider network performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts between DWIHN and assigned network providers.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Network and the providers.
  • Lead a virtual team of interdepartmental experts to assist, monitor, and manage network providers.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address contractual issues and concerns.
  • Facilitate the implementation of new contracts with providers by providing technical assistance.
  • Monitor and ensure that providers receive necessary training.
  • Protect the confidentiality of provider operations.
  • Explain and interpret the Network's policies and procedures to the provider network.
  • Resolve problems and respond to issues, requests, and complaints from the provider network.
  • Collaborate with other Contract Managers to propose revisions to policies and procedures.
  • Obtain and disseminate required provider network data for development and maintenance.
  • Participate in the analysis of network provider performance data.
  • Facilitate provider network compliance and corrective action.
  • Respond to public inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain documentation of all interactions with the provider network.
  • Submit monthly and quarterly reports regarding provider network performance.
  • Facilitate meetings with the provider network.
  • Prepare Board Actions as needed.
  • Monitor the contracting process from board action to approval.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Nursing, Public Health, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Health Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five years of post-degree professional experience in behavioral healthcare or community mental health, including management or supervisory duties.
  • Valid State of Michigan Driver's License with a safe driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field (may substitute for two years of required experience).
