About the position

The Provider Onboarding Specialist at Sun River Health is responsible for managing the onboarding process for new healthcare providers. This role involves facilitating credentialing, coordinating training and orientation, and ensuring effective communication between new providers and various departments. The specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and timeliness of the onboarding process, while also addressing any issues that arise during this transition.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between Sun River Health and the provider during onboarding.
  • Work with the provider and Onboarding team to ensure all pre-employment requirements are completed and submitted.
  • Discuss training schedules with providers.
  • Perform provider triage functions; address issues raised by providers and route communications to the appropriate persons for handling.
  • Assist with any real estate, relocation, or travel accommodations as needed in collaboration with the AVP.
  • Ensure internal and external provider letter agreements are prepared and updated regularly.
  • Collaborate with assigned Talent Acquisition Recruiter(s) to update and maintain the Provider Pipeline Report for executive leaders on a weekly basis.
  • Work with providers to identify issues and assist with the development of corrective action plans to facilitate performance improvement.
  • Participate in the New Employee Orientation program, including scheduling and presentations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of proven experience in onboarding, human resources, or a related area.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of credentialing processes and healthcare industry experience is a plus.
