About the position
Billings Clinic is seeking a Provider Onboarding Specialist to coordinate the onboarding of Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and other positions within the organization. This role involves monitoring the onboarding processes, addressing obstacles, and providing assistance to new providers to ensure a smooth transition into the clinic. The position requires strong communication, organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills, as well as a professional demeanor focused on customer service. Responsibilities
- Determine the groups that the new provider needs to interact with based on their role.
- Act as a single point of contact for all new provider onboarding steps.
- Track and manage multiple new providers' progress through the onboarding process.
- Follow up with providers on outstanding materials due for onboarding.
- Ensure timely start for providers to support transition and patient care needs.
- Participate in process improvements to enhance the onboarding experience.
- Establish and promote collaborative relationships between onboarding groups.
Requirements
- Minimum High School or GED.
- Preferred 2 Year / Associate Degree.
- 3 years administrative and/or customer service experience in a related area.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of credentialing processes.
