About the position

As a Provisioning Agent at Southwest Airlines, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our aircraft are well-stocked and ready for departure. This part-time position involves working in both the warehouse and ramp areas, where you will prepare items for stocking, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and load and unload aircraft. Your responsibilities will include packing and repacking various items, such as liquor and entertainment kits, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. You will also be responsible for stocking the aircraft with essential supplies, including snacks, beverages, and other provisions, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with Crew Members and Ground Operations Teams to ensure high-quality inflight service. You will need to be detail-oriented and able to work efficiently under tight time constraints, as provisioning must be completed during prescribed ground times. The position requires you to be alert to your surroundings, including moving vehicles and personnel, and to communicate effectively with your team using radio equipment. This position is part-time, typically requiring around 32 hours over five days, with shifts determined by a seniority-based bidding process. New hires will undergo 4-6 weeks of training, which includes both classroom and on-the-job training. After training, you will work 6.5-hour shifts, with the potential for mandatory overtime. The role may require working early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, and you must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 70 pounds regularly. U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. is required, and no work authorization sponsorship is available.
