About the position

This position at Proofpoint is designed for individuals who are passionate about email technology and possess a foundational understanding of email authentication protocols such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. The successful candidate will engage directly with customers of the Email Fraud Defense Suite, assisting them in enhancing their email security posture. This role requires a proactive approach to customer service, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through effective service delivery and timely resolution of issues. The candidate will coordinate with various stakeholders, including customers and their third-party vendors, to facilitate the successful implementation of projects and the ongoing support of Proofpoint's products. In this role, the individual will regularly demonstrate the value of the Email Fraud Defense products to clients, leveraging their technical expertise and previous experiences to share best practices and develop creative solutions to unique challenges. The candidate will work closely with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and product management, to ensure that customer needs are met and that the products are utilized to their fullest potential. Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple implementations simultaneously are essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to explain complex technical concepts to clients with varying levels of technical knowledge. They should be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-stress startup environment and demonstrate the ability to work independently while adapting quickly to changing circumstances. A background in customer-facing consulting, particularly in the realm of email technology, will be beneficial, as will familiarity with Proofpoint products and secure email gateways. A BA/BS degree or higher is required, and multilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with Email Fraud Defense customers to improve their email security posture.
  • Drive high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.

  • Demonstrate the ongoing value of Email Fraud Defense products to clients.

Requirements

  • Strong project management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience with Email (SMTP) and Email Authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) or a strong desire to learn quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant customer-facing consulting experience.
  • Comfortable presenting and explaining technology to non-technical audiences.
  • Good understanding of the sales process and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress startup environment.
  • Experience working with broad cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and influence skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changes.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Experience with Proofpoint products is a plus.
  • Experience with Secure Email Gateways is a plus.
  • BA/BS or higher degree required.
