About the position

The PSG Trader position at Fidelity Investments involves supporting the Portfolio Services Group (PSG) within the Global Equity Trading team. This role acts as a liaison between fund managers, trade operations teams, and internal partners, ensuring high-quality service delivery to investment professionals globally. The trader will manage portfolio holdings, assist with cash management, and collaborate with various teams to optimize trading operations and enhance overall portfolio performance.

Responsibilities

  • Create trades lists to assist PMs with cash management and shareholder activity.
  • Work with trading desk to provide PMs with liquidity and cost analysis for portfolio rebalances.
  • Partner with CIOs to manage sector-focused sleeves portfolios within domestic, international, and emerging markets equity teams.
  • Manage and optimize portfolio holdings across active ETF products.
  • Partner with Global Product Solutions, Client Services, and external transition managers on client cash and in-kind securities transitions.
  • Monitor multi-currency balances and oversee active foreign currency balance management program.
  • Work closely with teams from Product and Investment Management on new fund launches and fund restructurings.
  • Collaborate with Compliance teams across the globe to support all equity funds from an aggregate and fund level monitoring perspective.
  • Liaison between trading desk and trading operations team to resolve issues requiring immediate action and projects to enhance operational procedures.
  • Provide best-in-class service and execution capabilities to the investment teams globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in the industry.
  • Proficient in trading operations, market structure, and transition management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working on tight timelines.
  • Extreme attention to detail required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Experience in product management.
