About the position

This faculty member will work at the Gainesville campus, serve as the Psy.D. research/grant coordinator, teach as a core faculty member in the Psy.D. program in the Lynn J. Darby School of Psychology and Adolescent Counseling, and chair dissertations of Psy.D. students.

Responsibilities

  • Psy.D. Research/Grant Coordinator (1 course reassigned time)
  • Devote approximately 4 hours per week to identifying and writing grants, in collaboration with other faculty in the Darby School of Psychology and Adolescent Counseling and Brenau's grant office, to fund students and research in the School.
  • Teach a course load of 22 credits per year. Topics might include: Psy.D. foundation courses, research, statistics, neuropsychology concentration courses, child/adolescent concentration courses, and supervision courses.
  • Chair at least two dissertations per year.
  • Other duties as assigned by Psy.D. Coordinator or Chair of the Lynn J. Darby School of Psychology and Adolescent Counseling.

Requirements

  • PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a related field
  • Licensed as Psychologist in Georgia or current state

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred three years of higher education teaching experience
  • Preferred experience in chairing of graduate thesis and/or dissertation projects
  • Preferred three years of experience conducting research studies and/or writing grants
  • Preferred minimal three years of experience in providing clinical supervision
  • Preferred interest in neuropsychology or child/adolescent psychology
