About the position

The Psych Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric care to clients in the Baltimore metro area, utilizing both office-based and telehealth services. This role involves collaboration with a Nurse/Intake Coordinator and Administrative Manager to ensure comprehensive client care, including insurance pre-authorization and treatment plan management. The position is supervised by the CEO and partners of the practice, with all necessary liability insurance and collaborating physician costs covered by the employer.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric care to clients, including both adults and youth/children.
• Collaborate with the Nurse/Intake Coordinator and Administrative Manager to coordinate client care.
• Assist with insurance pre-authorization and treatment plan management.
• Manage caseload effectively and ensure quality of care.
• Utilize telehealth services to reach clients in remote locations.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric nursing.
• Graduation from a state-certified advance practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health.
• At least 2-3 years of experience providing direct client care for psychiatric disorders.
• Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH).
• Unrestricted license to practice as a certified practice registered nurse (CPRN) in Maryland.
• Valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Maryland.
• State-issued Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) in Maryland.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of experience as a psychiatric provider.
• Experience in telemedicine.
