Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients with mental health and addictive diseases.
- Consult with patients and advocate for their care.
- Interact with individuals of various cognitive levels and trauma histories.
- Verbally de-escalate agitated patients.
- Maintain healthy boundaries with patients.
- Follow hospital rules and policies to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- State of Georgia or eCompact MultiState Nursing License.
- Prefer one year of nursing experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Skills in case management and time management.
- Knowledge of acute psychological disorders and principles of abnormal psychology.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with follow-up resource services available to patients.
- Ability to treat all age populations or develop skills through cross-training.
