About the position

The role of a Medic at Klarisana is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of daily workflows and providing a safe and supportive environment for patients undergoing treatment. Medics must possess a basic background in medicine and maintain current EMT or Medical Assistant certifications for patient care. They should be proficient in interpreting vital signs and have a thorough understanding of appropriate medication administration protocols. Medics at Klarisana play a vital role in emotionally supporting and comforting patients during their sessions. Responsibilities

  • Observe patients during ketamine treatment sessions and provide support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation of patient vital signs.
  • Assist in patient flow within the clinic, including escorting patients to cars, bathrooms, etc.
  • Assist in drawing medications under the direct supervision of NP.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate medication administration.
  • Assist with intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous injections upon request by Medical Providers.
  • Responsible for the opening and closing of the clinic, ensuring overall cleanliness and readiness for patient care.
  • Contribute to inventory management to ensure adequate supplies for patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with Controlled Substance Administration Records (CSARs).
  • Assist in training new medics, ensuring adherence to clinic protocols and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current EMT or Medical Assistant Certification
  • Current BLS Certification
  • IV/IO training preferred
  • Mid-level EMT experience
  • EMT License
  • Certified Medical Assistant
