About the position

We are seeking a compassionate Psychiatric & Family Nurse Practitioner or a Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our team at Advanced Recovery Systems. This role involves providing medical and mental health services to patients within our facilities, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations, and collaborating with facility leadership to enhance patient care. The position requires a strong understanding of addiction and mental health treatment, as well as the ability to perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and mental health services to patients admitted to ARS facilities.
  • Establish rapport and systematically gather data to determine readiness for treatment.
  • Screen for co-occurring primary mental health issues and substance use disorders.
  • Analyze and interpret data to determine treatment recommendations and priorities.
  • Document all required records in the electronic health record in a timely manner.
  • Understand and abide by safety, risk, and infection control guidelines.
  • Assist in formulating and supporting the highest standards of patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited Nursing Master's Program with a Family Nurse Practitioner or higher and a Psychiatric Nurse practice degree.
  • Must have a valid DEA to prescribe controlled medications and training on Buprenorphine Prescribing.
  • Experience in Addiction Medicine/Primary Behavioral Health preferred.
  • Familiarity with JCAHO and ASAM criteria is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and confident with strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in addiction medicine or primary behavioral health.
  • Familiarity with healthcare standards such as JCAHO and ASAM.
