About the position

We are seeking a behavioral health doctor or APRN specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. This role involves collaboration with families, schools, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for a diverse group of clients facing various psychological issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations of children and adolescents.
  • Utilize interviews, medical history reviews, and psychological testing to diagnose mental health conditions.
  • Identify disorders such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, and more.
  • Prescribe and manage medication as part of the treatment process.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including field staff and licensed professionals.
  • Respond to emergency situations involving mental health crises.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in youth and adult psychiatry.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities.
  • Engage in clinical research to contribute to the field.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records.
  • Prepare reports and documentation required for legal and medical purposes.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be board certified in the state of Texas as an active Psychiatric prescriber and in good standing.
  • Active, Unencumbered State License (NP/APRN) in Texas.
  • Active, Individual DEA with address listed in Texas.
  • Proof of Active Board Certification (NP/APRN; any specialty).
