The APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) at White Sands Treatment Center of Tampa, LLC is responsible for providing direct patient care services within the scope of their APRN License. This role involves collaboration with other members of the treatment staff and operates under the direction and supervision of the Medical Director. The APRN is expected to support the facility's policies, rules, and regulations while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory bodies and agencies. The position requires the individual to provide both medical and psychiatric care, contributing to the overall medical quality management of the facility and offering guidance to treatment staff members as assigned by the Medical Director. In this role, the APRN will perform a variety of tasks including medical assessments, health and physical examinations, psychiatric consultations, and medication management services for patients being evaluated for or admitted to the facility. The APRN will also be responsible for ensuring the appropriateness of initial patient admissions and continuing patient care through the application of accepted practices. Additionally, the APRN will provide after-hours on-call coverage to coordinate emergency medical or psychiatric responses for facility patients as needed. The APRN will participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings to coordinate and review patient care delivery, provide in-service education for facility employees, and engage in performance improvement and utilization review activities. The role also includes conducting peer reviews, formulating and reviewing facility policies and procedures, and developing a community resources network to ensure a continuum of care for patients upon discharge. The APRN will work closely with facility executive and clinical staff on matters related to facility development and major policy issues affecting patient care delivery. Furthermore, the APRN is responsible for completing all necessary documentation in a professional and timely manner, being available for consultations with patients and their families, and ensuring compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
