About the position
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) role at MyWellbrook involves providing mental health care to underserved populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, primarily through telehealth. The position emphasizes a collaborative approach to mental healthcare, allowing practitioners to work flexibly while being supported by a dedicated administrative and client care team. The PMHNP will be responsible for both prescribing medication and providing therapy, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care in a compassionate manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and therapy to patients via telehealth.
- Prescribe medications as needed for mental health treatment.
- Collaborate with a team to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Requirements
- Must be a Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in New Jersey.
- Experience in prescribing medication and providing therapy, particularly in women's health.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Willingness to be certified in ADOS®-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule).
