About the position
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) role at Rula Health is a part-time, remote position focused on providing high-quality mental health care. The PMHNP will conduct clinical assessments, manage treatment plans, and prescribe medications for patients experiencing various mental health issues. This position allows for flexible scheduling and emphasizes a patient-first approach, ensuring that care is accessible and personalized.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessments for patients seeking mental health care, including diagnostic assessments and treatment planning.
- Manage medication for patients with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
- Conduct psychiatric workups and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Engage with patients during half-hour follow-up visits and one-hour initial consultations.
- Utilize Rula's EHR and telehealth platform for patient care.
- Collaborate with the Support and Care Coordination teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- 1+ years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and crisis management.
- An unrestricted license and valid DEA number registered in the state of practice.
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- A master's or doctoral degree from an accredited university in psychiatric mental health nursing.
- No adverse actions by any nursing board or credentialing body in the past 3 years.
