About the position

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) role at Rula Health is a remote independent contractor position focused on providing high-quality mental health care. The PMHNP will conduct clinical assessments, manage treatment plans, and work with patients experiencing various mental health issues. This position offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work with a supportive team that handles administrative tasks, allowing the practitioner to focus on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessments for patients seeking mental health care including diagnostic assessments, psychiatric workups, and treatment planning including medication management.
• Work with individuals who are struggling with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
• Engage with patients during half-hour follow-up visits and one-hour initial consultations.
• Utilize Rula's EHR & telehealth platform for patient management.
• Collaborate with the Support and Care Coordination teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• 1+ years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, and managing psychiatric medication and treatment plans.
• An unrestricted license and valid DEA number registered in the state of practice.
• Independent licensure and/or collaboration with an MD as required by state law.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP).
• No suspension/exclusion/debarment from federal healthcare programs.
• No adverse actions by any nursing board, hospital, or credentialing body in the past 3 years.
• A master's or doctoral degree from an accredited university or graduate program in psychiatric mental health nursing.
• Ability to provide telehealth services.
