About the position

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) role at Rula Health is a remote independent contractor position focused on providing high-quality mental health care. The PMHNP will conduct clinical assessments, manage treatment plans, and prescribe medications for patients experiencing various mental health issues. This position emphasizes flexibility, allowing practitioners to set their own schedules and see patients at their discretion, while Rula Health manages administrative tasks such as billing and insurance credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessments for patients seeking mental health care, including diagnostic assessments and treatment planning.
• Manage medication for patients with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
• Engage with patients during half-hour follow-up visits and one-hour initial consultations.
• Utilize Rula's EHR and telehealth platform for patient care.
• Collaborate with the Support and Care Coordination teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• 1+ years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience in mental health assessment and crisis management.
• An unrestricted license and valid DEA number registered in the state of practice.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP).
• No adverse actions by any nursing board or credentialing body in the past 3 years.
• A master's or doctoral degree from an accredited university in psychiatric mental health nursing.
• Ability to provide telehealth services.
