About the position

ReDiscover is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Urgent Care Department. This role is crucial in providing immediate psychiatric care and medication management to individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. The PMHNP will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver efficient and effective treatment, ensuring that clients receive the support they need in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing, and prescribing appropriate psychotropic medication.
• Manage the medical care and treatment for the program specific population seeking services at ReDiscover.
• Attend and participate in regularly scheduled treatment team meetings and collaborate with a diverse, interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely and appropriate documentation for billable services.
• Facilitate each client's achievement of long-range outcomes of symptom management and functionality based on their needs.
• Collect and maintain information about clients and document interactions within ReDiscover's designated electronic medical record.
• Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Licensed as an APRN in the State of Missouri.
• Two (2) years of experience in direct service provision in a behavioral health setting required.
• Willingness to enter into a collaborative practice agreement with a ReDiscover licensed Psychiatrist.
• Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders.
• Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Excel, and G-Suite.

• Preference given to board certified individuals, including those with active BNDD, DEA, and NPI.
