About the position
The Stonington Institute is seeking a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) to join their detox and residential military program. This full-time position involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and registered nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients. The role offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no call requirement, making it an attractive opportunity for work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for patients in the detox and residential military program.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
Requirements
- Board certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP).
- Experience in a detox or residential treatment setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Double boarded in family and psychiatric nursing is highly preferred.
