Growing together. As a Nurse Practitioner you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will provide patients with behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, medication management, and intensive outpatient programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment to assigned new patients or coverage for existing patients within any of the Psychiatry Services of New York offices, Comprehensive Psychiatric Care offices, and tele-health as needed
  • Establish appropriate clinical diagnosis and update as needed
  • Provide ongoing E/M medication management services to assigned caseload of patients
  • Knowledge of CPT codes to accurately document services billed to insurance
  • Maintain schedule according to established productivity guidelines as outlined in the employment agreement
  • Provide referrals to community resources as appropriate
  • Discharge clients as clinically indicated
  • Review client charts for accuracy and completeness at required intervals
  • Complete required documentation in a timely manner, and keep detailed and accurate documentation of interventions with patients
  • Participate with the multidisciplinary team in the development and review of treatment planning and case assignment as needed
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external colleagues and referral sources
  • Participate in periodic trainings

Requirements

  • MSN or DNP
  • Clear, active and unrestricted RN license and APRN license in the state of practice
  • Ability to be successfully added to all insurance panels
  • Eligible to be enrolled as a provider in the Medicare program or able to terminate opt-out
  • Prescriptive Authority in the state of New York

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of psychiatric nursing experience
  • Experience with medication management
  • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness in a psychiatric care environment
