About the position
The Psychiatric Nurse - RN - PRN position at Medical City Green Oaks Hospital involves providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients. Responsibilities
- Contribute to quality nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging testing and admissions.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Incorporate knowledge of patient's age-specific development and cultural diversity into the plan of care.
Requirements
- Valid RN License
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Satori Alternatives Management of Aggression certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Associate Degree in Nursing
