About the position

The Psychiatric Social Worker II at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) provides psychotherapeutic services to a caseload of patients with complex needs, collaborating closely with the medical team. This role emphasizes evidence-based therapeutic interventions and psychoeducation for patients and their families, while also offering case management services as needed. The position is clinic-based and involves supporting partnerships to enhance treatment service availability both at CHLA and with external partners, all within a patient and family-centered care model.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapeutic services for patients with complex needs.
• Collaborate with the medical team to deliver comprehensive care.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic treatment interventions and psychoeducation.
• Provide case management services as needed.
• Support partnerships to enhance treatment service availability at CHLA and external partners.
• Demonstrate commitment to a patient and family-centered model of care.

Requirements

• 2+ years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and/or their families/caregivers.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Master's degree in social work from an accredited school.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
