American Traveler is seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position in Peoria, Illinois. Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care to patients
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatments
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

Requirements

• 1+ year of recent experience in psychiatric nursing
• Valid nursing license as required by Illinois
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA recommended and may be required
• Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required
