About the position

The Psychiatry Account Manager at Lundbeck is responsible for promoting the company's psychiatry portfolio, utilizing comprehensive clinical knowledge to execute sales and marketing strategies aimed at driving sales performance. This role requires a results-driven approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate the complexities of the pharmaceutical environment while building productive relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the promotion of the psychiatry portfolio and execute sales and marketing strategies.
  • Utilize digital tools and data-based insights for business planning and account leadership.
  • Deliver clear and compelling messages to customers, effectively addressing their needs and objections.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders based on customer needs.
  • Gather and validate market trends and apply therapeutic knowledge to identify opportunities.
  • Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics and address payer access issues effectively.
  • Adhere to pharmaceutical and regulatory compliance, including Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales, or related healthcare sales.
  • Demonstrated intellectual capacity to excel in disease and product training exams, with annual certification on product knowledge.
  • Strong work ethic, outstanding communication skills, and self-starter mentality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and computer literacy.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record that meets company requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience within a specialty product sales force.
  • Experience promoting products specific to CNS/neuroscience, including depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
  • Documented successful sales performance.
  • Ownership and accountability for developing and executing integrated account plans.
  • Strong analytical background with experience using sales data reporting tools.
  • Experience in product launches and working with alliance partners.
  • Strong leadership experience through participation in committees and related activities.
