About the position
The Psychologist - Autism Support position at Omaha Children's Hospital involves providing care to children and adolescents with autism and other behavioral health needs. The role is part of a well-established Behavioral Health department that includes a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals. The Psychologist will utilize both face-to-face and telehealth methods to deliver care, contributing to a high volume of patient visits each month across various settings, including outpatient clinics and school-based services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver psychological care to children and adolescents with autism and other behavioral health issues.
- Conduct therapy sessions using face-to-face and telehealth methods.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in the fellowship training program and contribute to the department's growth.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an accredited school of psychology required.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a psychologist required, preferably in a behavioral health or pediatric setting.
- Completion of one-year pre- or post-doctoral clinical internship through an APA accredited program required.
- Current and valid licensure as a psychologist in the state of Nebraska or eligibility for licensure.
Nice-to-haves
