About the position

The Mind Body Clinical Research Center (MB-CRC) at Stony Brook University is seeking a full-time clinical psychologist to provide clinical services, contribute to wellness initiatives, and engage in research and academic training activities. The role aims to enhance the mental and physical health of individuals and communities through holistic clinical services and cutting-edge research, while also training future clinical research leaders, particularly those from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to patients.
• Contribute to wellness initiatives within the center.
• Engage in research activities related to mental and physical health.
• Participate in academic and training programs for psychology trainees.
• Conduct psychological evaluations and provide evidence-based psychotherapy.

Requirements

• Ph.D./PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA or PCSAS-accredited University.
• New York State license or eligibility to practice.
• Experience in conducting psychological evaluations.
• Experience in providing cognitive-behavioral therapy and other evidence-based psychotherapy.
• Experience supervising psychology trainees.
• Full-time availability.

Nice-to-haves

• Bi-lingual (Spanish-English).
• Training and experience in Behavioral Medicine.
• Training and experience in LGBTQ Mental Health.
• Research program with a record of peer-reviewed publications.
• Experience with grant writing and obtaining grant funding.
