About the position
The Psychologist position at Montefiore Medical Center involves working within the Rose F. Kennedy Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC), a nationally recognized program that provides clinical services for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities. The role focuses on diagnostic and intervention needs for patients aged 5 to 21, utilizing evidence-based psychotherapy techniques to assist patients in achieving their goals. The psychologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and may have opportunities for supervision, teaching, and research.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for diagnostic clarification.
- Assist with educational and treatment planning for patients.
- Utilize evidence-based psychotherapy techniques to help patients attain their goals.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, social workers, and pediatricians.
- Supervise psychology externs as needed.
- Engage in teaching and research opportunities.
Requirements
- New York State license as a Psychologist.
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD).
- Completion of Ph.D. or Psy.D. from a clinical psychology or related field.
- Experience with learning disabilities/neurodevelopmental disabilities is preferred.
