About the position

The Psychologist position at the Trauma Recovery Center involves conducting clinical intakes, providing individual and group psychotherapy, and coordinating care for survivors of crime. The role emphasizes a trauma-informed, hope-centered approach to promote the well-being of clients and staff. This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for in-person, telehealth, or community-based services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical intakes and counseling using a trauma-informed approach and identify service needs.
  • Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and review documentation of staff or interns.
  • Develop a service plan that is hope-centered and includes long-term goals, short-term objectives, and interventions.
  • Facilitate care coordination of services among various agencies and link clients to needed services.
  • Participate and conduct multi-disciplinary team meetings, case conference meetings, agency-wide meetings, and conferences.
  • Assist with program development.
  • Prepare and conduct presentations, workshops, or outreach.
  • Complete documentation, reports, and the Level of Service as identified in the grant.
  • Promote and demonstrate cultural humility in client care and staff interactions that respond respectfully to the strengths and skills of diverse ethnicities and cultures, languages, socio-economic classes, disabilities, religions, genders, sexual orientation, and other diversity-related factors.
  • Attend training and receive certifications in TF-CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and other trauma-specific interventions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid license in Psychology issued by the New Jersey Board of Psychology.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and adverse childhood experiences.
  • Experience providing evidence-based, trauma-focused treatment.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment and evenings as needed.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and clean driving record.
