About the position

The Psychology Research Assistant at Leidos will support research studies focused on understanding the psychological responses of individuals in high-stress environments, particularly in special warfare, undersea, diving, and submarine contexts. This role involves assisting principal scientists in the Warfighter Performance Department with various research tasks, including data collection and analysis, literature reviews, and preparation of research documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in experimental planning, data collection, and data analysis.
  • Conduct literature searches and prepare bibliographies.
  • Assist in the preparation of research protocols, analyses, and briefing packages.
  • Utilize precise experimental methods to acquire human-subjects data.
  • Prepare necessary support documentation and purchase requisitions for approved purchases.
  • Prepare, review, and disseminate various internal or external communications.
  • Provide planning and research support to various projects or studies as directed.
  • Maintain contacts to keep abreast of developments in relevant fields.
  • Assist the Government PI with preparing and/or editing technical or periodic reports, records, documents, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate activities and schedules of the extended research team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to acquire a SECRET classification access level (preference for candidates with existing clearance).
  • US citizenship is required due to Federal contract requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
