About the position

The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Qualified Professional will provide essential PSR services to adults facing serious emotional, behavioral, and substance use disorders. This role involves a team approach to address the clinical needs of individuals who require intensive interventions to remain stable in the community. The position focuses on person-centered planning, crisis intervention, and collaboration with community resources to support individuals' recovery and stability.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in the person-centered planning process.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, as evidenced by symptom reduction and progress toward goals identified in the Person Centered Plan.
  • Assisting with crisis interventions, defusing current crises, and evaluating their nature to reduce recurrence likelihood.
  • Consulting with identified providers and engaging community and natural supports in the planning process.
  • Participating in weekly meetings to ensure planned interventions are implemented and to discuss individual progress toward goals.
  • Completing documentation of all services provided, including billable and non-billable services.
  • Ensuring adequate authorization of services based on individual needs.
  • Maintaining assigned productivity level.
  • Completing all mandated trainings within the designated time frame.
  • Supervising the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Associate Professionals and Paraprofessionals.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in a human service field with one year of full-time, post-graduate experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional with one year of supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a human service field with two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional with two years of supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Valid Substance Abuse Counseling Certification license
  • Experience in addiction counseling
