About the position
The Psychotherapist position at Henry Ford Maplegrove Center involves providing compassionate care to clients with substance use disorders through various therapeutic mediums. This role supports clients in a hybrid work environment, allowing for both remote and in-office work after initial training. The Psychotherapist will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, facilitate therapy sessions, and ensure quality patient care within an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychoeducation and individual and group therapy to clients.
- Conduct initial assessments to develop patient-centered treatment plans.
- Facilitate family therapy sessions as needed.
- Complete all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents in a timely manner.
- Evaluate patients' needs for aftercare planning and complete prior to discharge.
- Provide crisis intervention to patients as needed.
- Deliver evidence-based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders.
- Ensure quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.
Requirements
- Master's (or Doctoral) degree in clinical or counseling psychology with one-year supervised post-masters experience; OR master's degree in social work with two years post-master's experience in mental health/chemical dependency setting.
- Licensed Psychologist; OR Limited Licensed Psychologist; OR Licensed master's in social work; OR Licensed Certified Substance Use Disorder Therapist.
