About the position
The Psychotherapist position at the Internal Medicine Clinic in Saint Cloud, MN, involves working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive behavioral health services. The role focuses on delivering diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic interventions to patients with various behavioral health and medical needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and motivational interviewing techniques.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with CentraCare's Behavioral Health team as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team at the Internal Medicine Clinic.
- Provide diagnostic, psychological, or biopsychosocial evaluation and execute therapeutic treatment toward defined goals.
- Provide clinical interventions including individual, marital, couples, family, and group therapy & education to adults and children.
- Triaging urgent needs from community members and providing intervention in same-day crisis situations.
- Assist in staff development through consultation, education, and supervision, as well as assist in program development.
- Strengthen motivation and commitment to specific change goals through a collaborative, goal-oriented style of communication.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related Human Services field required.
- State of Minnesota licensure required (LP, LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC).
- Minimum of one-year experience required.
- Successful compliance with Minnesota Law, Chapter 372 relating to sexual exploitation of patients by staff providing psychotherapy services.
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology is required for psychologist role.
- Completion of post-doc training year prior to start date preferred for psychologist role.
Nice-to-haves
