About the position

The Psychotherapist position at Gillette Children's is a part-time role focused on delivering in-person short-term counseling to clinical staff, addressing their psychological, social, and emotional needs. The role includes providing critical incident response, training to promote mental health in the workplace, and supporting a stigma-free culture around mental health issues. The position is temporary, expected to last until May 31, 2025, and involves collaboration with various departments to enhance mental health support for staff.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates individual counseling and/or group therapy sessions for clinical staff to address stress, burnout, trauma, and other mental health concerns.
  • Collaborates to develop coping strategies and addresses unhelpful or problematic behaviors.
  • Facilitates referrals into the benefit plan or community resources.
  • Participates in critical incident debriefings and offers support during staff mental health crises.
  • Develops and implements crisis management plans for staff as needed.
  • Designs and delivers training sessions for leaders on recognizing signs of mental health issues and fostering a healthy work environment.
  • Educates on self-care strategies, stress management, team dynamics, and resilience building.
  • Works with Child and Family Services, Wellbeing Program Coordinators, HR, and others to ensure comprehensive mental health support for clinical staff.
  • Provides consultation to leaders on work-related issues.
  • Assists in the implementation of wellbeing programs and initiatives for clinical staff.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of therapeutic interactions.
  • Tracks training sessions and participation to evaluate satisfaction and identify additional training needs.
  • Creates reports on the utilization and effectiveness of the program and assists with predicting future needs for services.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Currently licensed in Minnesota as a Psychologist (LP), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of related experience.
  • Critical incident stress debriefing experience.
  • Experience in work-related issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with healthcare professionals or in high-stress environments.
  • Onsite EAP experience.
  • Experience facilitating education and training.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $70,553 to $105,788, with a median salary of $88,171 (prorated for part-time).
