About the position

The Psychotherapist position at Henry Ford Health involves providing compassionate care to individuals with substance use disorders through various therapeutic mediums, including psychoeducation and both individual and group therapy. The role requires the development of patient-centered treatment plans, crisis intervention, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team to ensure effective and equitable care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments to develop patient-centered treatment plans.
  • Provide care in individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions as needed.
  • Complete all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
  • Evaluate patients' needs for aftercare planning and complete it prior to discharge.
  • Provide crisis intervention to patients as needed.
  • Deliver evidence-based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders.

Requirements

  • Master's (or Doctoral) degree in clinical or counseling psychology with one year supervised post-masters experience; OR Master's degree in Social Work with two years post-Master's experience in a mental health/chemical dependency setting.
  • Licensed Certified Substance Use Disorder Therapist - LLMSW, LMSW, LPC with a CAADC or CAADC-DP.
  • Licensed Psychologist; OR Limited Licensed Psychologist; OR Licensed Master's in Social Work.
