The position involves teaching assigned courses related to industrial, mechanical, and/or electrical technologies. The instructor will report to the Industrial & Engineering Technology Department Chair and will be responsible for teaching both day and night classes. The job duties include organizing a semester course in accordance with departmental guidelines, creating various course materials such as tests, handouts, lectures, slides, assignments, rubrics, and activities. The instructor will also determine a fair grading system, set up materials on Moodle, and, if necessary, on publisher platforms for homework, quizzes, and study guides. Additionally, the instructor will establish policies that comply with departmental and school regulations, hold student conferences as needed, and create lesson plans. Instructors are expected to keep attendance using Web Attendance Tracking, complete progress reports, correspond with students and supervisors via email, submit grade and attendance reports, work with students registered with the Office of Accessibility, and maintain accessibility to supervisors by phone. They should handle student issues professionally and report any unresolved issues or classroom incidents to their supervisors.
