About the position

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) role involves providing one-on-one support to clients in home and community settings. The primary focus is to assist clients in functioning effectively through intensive counseling and supportive interventions, particularly for children and adolescents with Autism.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one behavioral health services to clients in home and community settings.
  • Assist clients in functioning within their home and community through counseling and supportive interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and interventions.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Basic personal computer knowledge and skills are necessary.
  • Certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, along with completion of 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training before seeing clients, is necessary.
  • At least 2 years of ABA experience and 40 hours of RBT training are acceptable alternatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with children or adolescents with Autism is preferred.
