PT Branch Shelver - Madeira Branch

About the position

This position is responsible for sorting; arranging in order; and shelving returned materials. This position is also responsible for maintaining and retrieving material in all formats at a branch location.

Responsibilities

• Sorts and shelves books, magazines, pamphlets, audiovisual materials and other materials accurately for branch.
• Provides proactive customer service by assisting with directional and simple reference questions.
• Retrieves materials for customer holds and processes requests from other agencies.
• Assists with merchandising.
• Shelf reads according to schedule for accurate order of materials.
• Shifts and straightens materials as necessary.
• Searches for misplaced or lost materials.
• Assists with weeding, as assigned.
• Pulls materials requiring mending or binding.
• Assists with training for new Shelvers as directed.
• Assists with processing donations.
