About the position

The Cake Decorator at The GIANT Company is responsible for creating and decorating cakes, ensuring high standards of food safety and sanitation. This part-time role involves mixing and coloring frosting, taking and completing orders, and maintaining a clean work environment. The position emphasizes teamwork and customer service, contributing to the company's mission of building strong families and healthy communities.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and prepare for duties at the start of the shift.
• Mix frosting, color frosting, and prepare cones for cake decoration.
• Frost and decorate cakes with colored frosting according to customer orders.
• Take and complete customer orders, storing them appropriately in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, and floors.
• Track and record loss, demonstrating proper food safety and sanitation work habits.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to complete job duties and comply with safety regulations.
• Completion of a 60-day introductory (probationary) period is required.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for the position.
• Ability to use or learn to use the necessary equipment and tools for the job.
• Must meet company performance standards, including regular attendance.
