About the position

The Customer Experience Manager at Michaels Stores is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. This role involves assisting customers in locating products, managing checkout processes, and maintaining store standards. The position also includes responsibilities related to merchandise recovery and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in shopping the store.
• Ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience and execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, completing enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return/go back process.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, promoting commitment to the organization's vision and values.
• Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.

Requirements

• Experience in retail or customer service environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle cash and execute cash handling procedures accurately.
• Knowledge of store operations and merchandising standards.
