The PT Digital Content Writer/Radio Host position at KKBR Townsquare Media offers an exciting opportunity to engage with the local community of Billings, Montana, through both on-air and digital platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for hosting daily on-air shows from 6-8 am, Monday through Friday, while also dedicating time to daily show preparation. The successful candidate will entertain and inform listeners through engaging content on-air, as well as through digital platforms and social media. A key expectation is to publish at least one original local article each day on the station's website and mobile app, alongside writing engaging posts for social media platforms like Facebook. The role also involves conducting on-air interviews, attending live events, and producing commercials, all while maintaining a strong connection with the station's target audience. Responsibilities

  • Host daily on-air shows from 6-8 am, Monday through Friday.
  • Spend time each day doing daily show prep.
  • Entertain and inform the listener audience both on-air and via digital content and social media outlets.
  • Publish a minimum of 1 original local article per day on the station website and mobile app.
  • Write assigned Facebook posts along with other social media platforms.
  • Conduct on-air interviews and assist in all market cluster live events.
  • Produce commercials on a daily basis.
  • Conduct Live Remotes and appearances and assist in special promotions and programming activities.

Requirements

  • History of original written digital content.
  • Knowledge of basic FCC rules and regulations.
  • Superior knowledge of current events and CHR/Hot AC.
  • Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels, multi-task, and handle pressures and deadlines.
  • Skill in operation of control board, remote broadcasting, and other related production equipment.
  • Quickly become proficient in NexGen and Adobe Audition.
  • Computer literacy in applicable programs and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Public speaking skills and ability to interact with listeners and clients in a public setting.
  • Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing.
