About the position
The Direct Care Staff position is part of the RISE program at Family & Children's Center, aimed at providing quality care and support to children and families in the community. This role involves working collaboratively with a team to ensure the safety and well-being of clients, utilizing behavioral interventions, and participating in program implementation.
Responsibilities
- Provide intense supervision to clients during the RISE program.
- Utilize appropriate behavioral interventions and co-facilitate groups.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and communicate daily with other staff members.
- Complete daily documentation in a timely manner according to program policies and standards.
- Use positive communication skills when interacting with community members.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years of experience as a primary caregiver to a child with mental illness within the previous ten years.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge in mental health interventions and skills training.
- Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care.
