About the position
The PT Feeder Supervisor at UPS is responsible for overseeing dispatch activities to ensure timely and efficient service. This role involves coordinating dispatch plans, monitoring load movements, and ensuring compliance with safety and service goals. The supervisor will also manage yard operations, ensuring that trailers are correctly positioned and loaded as planned, while addressing performance issues and training needs of employees.
Responsibilities
- Reviews driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conducts hazardous materials audits.
- Reviews safety reports.
- Verifies appropriate driver uniforms and utilization of safe work methods.
- Determines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.
- Provides feedback and support.
- Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred
- Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
- Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Management experience - Preferred
