About the position
The PT Food Court Associate at The GIANT Company plays a vital role in preparing and serving deli food, including sandwiches, pizza, and fried chicken, while ensuring a clean and safe work environment. This position emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and adherence to food safety standards, contributing to the overall mission of building strong families and healthy communities.
Responsibilities
- Review the work schedule and prepare for duties at the start of the shift.
- Make sandwiches, subs, roast or fry chicken, heat soup, and make pizza.
- Wait on customers, slice meat or cheese, weigh, wrap, and label orders.
- Produce product for the sales floor warmers and hot bar as per plan-o-gram (POG).
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, and display cases.
- Track and record loss using known loss tracking (KLT).
- Carry cases of chicken to worktable, roast or fry chicken, and wrap and label the chicken.
- Help customers with deli food orders and maintain the grab and go section.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations.
- Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for the position.
- Ability to use or learn to use the equipment and tools required for the job.
