The Front End Associate and Stocker position at Specs Family Partners Ltd involves providing exceptional customer service during checkout and maintaining a positive shopping experience for guests. The role requires individuals to demonstrate the company's mission and values, operate cash registers, assist with stocking shelves, and ensure a clean and organized work environment. This part-time role is essential for enhancing customer satisfaction and supporting the overall operations of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a smiling face and helpful demeanor.
  • Operate cash register or electronic scanner and look up products as needed.
  • Ensure proper pricing by scanning the correct barcode.
  • Suggestively sell items to guests at the register and offer add-on items.
  • Monitor merchandise brought to the register by stockers to ensure accurate charges.
  • Redeem coupons and weigh produce items when required.
  • Receive cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, or gift cards.
  • Bag or box merchandise and assist with carry-outs when needed.
  • Compute and record totals of all transactions on daily record sheet.
  • Keep work area clean and neat and do not overstock counter with merchandise.
  • Count down drawer at end of shift and prepare final drop.
  • Answer questions and provide information to guests.
  • Stock shelves and check price tags as needed.
  • Prepare assigned areas for inventory and assist in the inventory process if needed.
  • Fulfill responsibilities with care and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in cashiering is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos.
  • Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide without a calculator.
  • Ability to maintain a valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit and Food Handlers Permit.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Experience in time management.
