About the position

The PT Hannaford To Go Shopper operates as a representative of the customer, ensuring a high-quality shopping experience that meets or exceeds customer expectations. This role involves selecting fresh items, making substitution decisions, and assisting customers with their online orders. The Shopper is responsible for accurately matching items from the customer's shopping list and providing courteous service during the order pickup process.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers and provide prompt courteous service and assistance.
• Accurately match all items from the customer's online shopping list.
• Shop multiple customer orders simultaneously using designated tools and equipment.
• Substitute items for customers if requested.
• Assist customers picking up orders at designated pickup locations.
• Recognize and differentiate between various types of produce merchandise.
• Bag or package merchandise according to established company policies and procedures.
• Label and store items in designated areas for customer pickup.
• Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance.
• Handle return-to-stock items promptly, especially refrigerated and perishable items.
• Support and comply with all company safety standards.
• Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work.
• Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards.
• Record price discrepancies and 'not on file' items on designated forms.
• Secure shopping devices and accessories when unattended.
• Assist the Expeditor with transporting and loading orders to customers' vehicles as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the technical requirements for the Hannaford To Go Service.

Benefits
