About the position
This position assists and reviews UPS Small Package dispatch activity to ensure timely and proficient service. The role involves dispatch planning, ensuring service, safety, and cost goals are met, and coordinating with others to execute dispatch plans efficiently. Responsibilities include overseeing load/tractor planning, monitoring load movement, and tracking equipment conditions, as well as analyzing dispatch reports to create efficient plans and address performance issues.
Responsibilities
- Assist and review UPS Small Package dispatch activity to ensure timely service.
- Coordinate dispatch planning and ensure service, safety, and cost goals are met.
- Oversee load/tractor planning and assignments.
- Monitor load movement and track the condition of equipment.
- Review, analyze, and track dispatch and service reports to create efficient dispatch plans.
- Verify service levels and address performance issues.
- Coordinate drivers with load volume and ensure trailers are in the correct locations.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work flexible shift hours and on weekends.
- Experience supervising employees - Preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
