About the position

The PT Hub Supervisor position at UPS is a critical role that involves supervising Package Handlers and ensuring that all team members are trained, developed, and held accountable for their performance in safety, production, and attendance. This position is responsible for setting and maintaining high standards for productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation, and safety within the hub. The supervisor will provide innovative and effective leadership, fostering a functional working relationship with personnel at all levels of the organization. In this role, the supervisor will ensure that all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times, operating in full compliance with departmental, station, corporate, and OSHA requirements. The supervisor will manage department resources to maximize output, accuracy, and efficiency. Establishing a positive, team-oriented work environment is essential, emphasizing employee involvement, proactive communication, inter-departmental cooperation, and continuous improvement. The supervisor will also implement personal development plans for employees to support their professional growth, ensuring that all team members receive comprehensive orientation, skills training, safety training, and regular evaluations. Proactive coaching will be a key component of this role to support the ongoing development of department personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Package Handlers and ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
  • Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred.
  • Management experience - Preferred.
