About the position
The Key Holder at JOANN is responsible for delivering a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity and ensuring that JOANN is a happy place for customers. This role involves driving sales through product knowledge, innovative merchandising, and operational duties, including assisting the Store Management team in leading store members and ensuring compliance with store policies. The Key Holder creates an exceptional in-store experience by engaging with customers and providing excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Greet every JOANN customer and use the F.A.S.T. service model to meet their needs.
- Process customer transactions efficiently and professionally at the cutting counter and cash register.
- Lift and arrange items on shelves and racks, and unload freight from the truck according to company procedures.
- Maintain high standards on the sales floor by cleaning and recovering shelves and managing returns.
- Invite customers to participate in store activities and proactively drive sales through product knowledge and active selling techniques.
- Assist leadership in minimizing shrink by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Work with store management to identify opportunities to drive business and increase sales/profit.
- Collaborate with Store Management to identify key tasks and assist in delegating them to Team Members.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of supervisory experience in a customer-centric environment.
- 2-3+ years of retail supervisory experience preferred.
